Buster Keaton

Buster Keaton was famous for his silent films in the 1920s. He was not only an actor, but also a writer, producer, and director for almost all of his films. Famous movies created by him in the 1920s include: Sherlock Jr, The Navigator, and The General.

Charlie Chaplin

When it came to making films, Charlie Chaplin was a jack of all trades. He was an actor, producer, editor, screenwriter, director... He even composed some of the music. Of his films from the 1920s, the most famous were: The Kid, The Circus, and The Gold Rush.

Harold Lloyd

Born:  April 20, 1893

Death:  March 8, 1971

Genre:  Comedy

Harold Lloyd was an actor and producer of over one hundred of films during the silent film era. His work was influenced by that of another comedian, Charlie Chaplin. Notable works by Harold Lloyd in the 1920s include: Safety Last, The Freshman, and Speedy.

The family comedy act who were known as The Marx Brothers were wildly popular. The group consisted of: Chico, Harpo, Groucho, and Zeppo. These brothers were best known in the 1920s for their works:  Animal Crackers and The Cocoanuts

Rudolph Valentino

Rudolph Valentino was an actor, and pop icon, during the 1920s. He died an unfortunate death at the age of 30. His most famous role during the 1920 time period was The Sheik.
